The Garage Skates

The Garage Skates was a branding project for my class where we had to create the logo/identity for a company that a classmate came up with. My classmate created The Garage Skates as an adult roller skating rink that is known for its rustic atmosphere and large garage doors that open to the outside area for people to skate.

The logomark represents their famous garage doors and the words “the” and “skates” represent a neon sign, which is why they are in a cursive font and a bright color. This contrast helps represent how the vibe of the place is rustic and modern yet also fun and entertaining like most traditional skating rinks. I alslo wanted to incorporate the brick wall look in order to match the aesthetic of the venue itself.
